The fluttering of butterflies

Alongside birds, they are gems of nature

The botanical garden and forests of this magic place can harbor up to 1500 butterflies of 30 different endemic species.

The Coffee Region’s Natural Landscape is enfolded by thousands of wings that flutter in search for flowers where to rest and feed.

To easily observe butterflies and have a more exciting experience with them, visit and go through the butterfly houses located in Quindío and Risaralda, Bonita Farm in Dosquebradas and Amaranta in Pereira. You will learn about their life cycle and how to let them rest in the palms of your hands.

In this coffee zone, each butterfly holds a story and a secret to be explored. Their colors, their brief life, the way they help preserve the ecosystem through pollinization make of butterflies the most fascinating insects here.

In the butterfly house’s facilities (built in a shape of a butterfly) you will enjoy while learning about nature.
